Studying French at university can be challenging, but also very rewarding. The Department of French offers students a wide range of support to help them cope with the demands of their studies and develop their language and cultural skills. This support also includes the presence of a KFJL tutor - Terka Pelánová has become the new tutor of our department.

Who is a tutor and what does he do?
Students advise students. That is the motto of tutors at PedFUK.
According to the website pedfuk.cuni.cz, tutors are: students of a specific study program who are in contact with the relevant department, the study officer for the given study program, and student subject councils and associations. Their task is to be advisors (not only) for first-year students. You can contact them via the email address tutori@pedf.cuni.cz.
A tutor is an older student who acts as a bridge between the student and the department. They help answer questions the student may have about their studies.
How can I contact a tutor?
You can contact Terka through the common email for all tutors: tutori@pedf.cuni.cz or her student email: tereza.pelanova189@students.cuni.cz . The advantage is that Terka is also the chairwoman of our SOR, so you can contact her with any questions you want to address with the SOR.
Who is Terka?
You can read more about Terka in the "Our Team" tab. :)
